A Word from Our Founder

Hello and welcome to the April edition of our newsletter!
As we wrap up another busy month at Dream, I wanted to take a moment to say the biggest thank you to you our incredible clients.
Your trust, loyalty and ongoing support mean more to us than we can ever properly put into words. Every conversation, every engagement and every win we share is only possible because you choose to work with us and we are truly grateful.
Thanks to that support, Dream has some very exciting news to share. We’ve been named finalists in the Business Services Category of the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards and have also been nominated for the Business 2580 Local Stars Awards.
These acknowledgements are deeply humbling and a proud moment for our entire team.
None of this would be possible without you and our amazing Dream team, who show up every day with passion, care and a genuine commitment to helping businesses thrive. This recognition belongs to all of us.
If you have a spare five minutes, we’d be so grateful for your support by casting a vote in the Local Stars Awards.
And if you haven’t had a chance yet, we’ve just released a new blog post written in collaboration with our trusted IT partner, Andrew from Pivot IT. Together, we unpack:
The importance of Multi‑Factor Authentication and account separation for small business, and
Key 2025 Payroll & Tax changes you should have on your radar.
If you’re looking for practical guidance to protect your business and avoid costly mistakes, this one’s a must‑read.
Thank you again for being part of the Dream journey. We couldn’t do this without you.!
Warmly,
Tennille Skelly
Software Highlight: Fyxer
Email overwhelm is real. If your inbox is blowing up daily and pulling your focus away from what actually matters, Fyxer could make a real difference.
Over the past month, Tennille and Faye have been trialling Fyxer and the impact was immediate. Fewer distractions, faster responses, and more headspace for meaningful work.
Fyxer is an AI-powered email assistant that helps by:
Organising your inbox.
Drafting email replies in your tone.
Taking meeting notes automatically.
Managing your schedule and follow-ups.
The clever part? Fyxer learns as you use it. The more emails you send and meetings you attend, the better it understands your preferences, voice, and way of working, making it smarter and more accurate over time.
Instead of living in your inbox, Fyxer gives you time back to focus on work that actually moves things forward.
We’ve loved the difference Fyxer has made to our work, and we think you will too. You can find it on the app store or at Fyxer for your desktop.

This month we are putting the spotlight on Tilly, the newest member of our Virtual Reception/Administration Team. Driven by a love of helping others and a desire to challenge herself, she thrives in roles where she can create order, support her team, and create meaningful impact behind the scenes. Her blend of patience, empathy, and quick thinking (honed after 10 years as a vet nurse caring for animals and their humans!) makes her a perfect fit for Dream.
We asked Tilly some questions to get to know her better.

Payday Super Is Coming — Are You Ready?
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: from 1 July 2026, Payday Super becomes law.
This major ATO reform requires employers to pay superannuation at the same time as wages. No more quarterly super payments.
Payday = Super Day.
The goal? Greater transparency, stronger employee protections, and a significant reduction in unpaid super.
The reality? Employers will need rock‑solid payroll systems, accurate reporting, and reliable workflows to stay compliant.
What’s changing?
Super will need to be paid every pay cycle — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
Super funds must receive SG contributions within 7 business days of payday.
The ATO will have real‑time visibility over unpaid or late super.
Penalties for non‑compliance are increasing — delays will be far harder to hide.
What you should be doing now.
Waiting until July 2026 is risky. The best approach is to start early and build the right systems now:
✔️ Audit your current payroll setup.
✔️ Review and adjust your cashflow planning.
✔️ Train your team on new processes.
✔️ Check employee details for accuracy.
✔️ Practice the process — Payday Super is already supported in Xero.

Client Spotlight: Loyal Plumbing

This month we caught up with Alex, founder of Loyal Plumbing, a business built on something we love to see at Dream; genuine care for customers, strong values, and a clear vision for growth.
Alex started Loyal Plumbing with the goal of doing things differently: not just turning up and getting the job done, but building a plumbing business that customers can truly trust and rely on.
From investing early in systems and accountability to focusing on loyalty to both customers and team, it’s clear that Alex is creating something far bigger than just a trade business. With exciting plans to scale, a new warehouse on the horizon, and a laser focus on doing the job right, Loyal Plumbing is one to watch as they continue laying the foundations for long-term success.
Here’s a closer look at Alex’s journey and vision for Loyal Plumbing.
What inspired you to start your business?
I wanted to build something of my own, a plumbing business that actually cared about the customer experience, not just getting in and out of a job. The name Loyal Plumbing says it all. Loyalty to our customers, loyalty to our team, and loyalty to doing the job right.
What makes your business unique?
We’re not just tradies, we’re building a proper business with real systems, real accountability and a team that takes pride in their work. In an industry where you often don’t know what you’re going to get, we aim to be the plumber people actually trust and call back.
What’s your biggest challenge as a business owner?
Scaling, aiming to build the business from 100k to 500k a month in revenue is going to be our biggest struggle. Building the infrastructure to go beyond that while keeping cash flow healthy is a completely different challenge. It’s tested me but it’s also made me a much sharper operator.
What’s one lesson you’d share with other entrepreneurs?
Don’t confuse being busy with being profitable. Know your numbers, price your work properly, and build systems early, before you need them.
What’s something exciting coming up?
We’re moving into our first proper warehouse in Edinburgh, launching ServiceTitan to systemise our whole operation, and we’re on track to seriously scale over the next 12-18 months. It’s a big year for Loyal Plumbing.
What would you like to achieve in the next 2 years?
We want to be doing consistent $500K months in revenue, having the right sized team with great people, and be the most trusted residential plumber in Adelaide.
How does Dream Admin Services help your business?
Dream has taken the admin load off my plate so I can focus on growing the business rather than being buried in it. Having reliable support behind the scenes makes a real difference when you’re trying to scale.
We’re so excited to see where Alex and the team at Loyal Plumbing go next, and we can’t wait to watch their continued growth. You can find them here:
